May everyone be happy and safe, and may their hearts be filled with joy... Just as a mother loves and protects her only child at the risk of her own life, so we should cultivate boundless love to offer to all living beings in the entire cosmos. Let our boundless love pervade the whole universe, above, below, and across. Or love will forever will know no obstacles; our heart will be absolutely free from hatred and enmity. Whether standing or walking, sitting or lying, as long we are awake, we should maintain this mindfulness of love in our heart.

    America has never accepted the ideology you stated and never will. A good reason to not send our species into the cosmos.

      You may very well be right Jerry. Hell, I didn't buy that ideology at a point earlier in my life either. But after changing my career at 60 and getting into fitness and health (I was a business manager most of my adult life) my perspectives have been changing every since. So, I actualy believe that as the younger generations come of age (especially given our changing demographics) this nation's perspectives will change as well. Hopefully in the direction ennunciated in the post. And if not? Well, we simply leave things in their hands and hope for the best.

We are a nation founded on the principal of self rule . In many ways and in many states that principal is honored and the will of the people is heard and it becomes law. But certainly not in all states and not in every case and every state. Such is the state in Mississippi. Story below.
