Cannabis - It's Time Time To Decriminalize and Legalize At Federal Level

Image
Cannabis companies in the U.S. lack access to banking and other financial services because the drug is federally illegal. That could change through new legislation or thanks to broader legalization efforts backed by the Democratically-controlled Senate. Photo Illustration: Laura Kammermann

Older Adults Increasingly Use Cannabis Medicinally

Image
Interesting article but certainly not a surprise . Older folks often experience muscle skeletal discomfort at elevated levels due to the wear and tear of aging. Cannibis can and does give relief without the dangers of addiction. In short cannabis beats opiods or booze all day long. Every day. All year long. Of course there are a myriad of ailments older people have to deal with and cannabis often is the best and most effective way to treat them. I know as I've used cannabis medicinally for going on four years. Cannabis is very good for improving mindfullness and acheiving a better and fuller understanding of just who YOU really are. In other words cannabis helps you see yourself as you reakky are. Just like Bob Marley said it does. If you do not resist its ability to help you grow and become a better person. When the feds finally decriminalizing cannabis extensive research into the vast benefits of cannabis will explode and we will finally be able to unlock much that has been kept

The Skinny On Delta 8 THC

Image
Delta 8 THC is the new hot cannabis and it isn't illegal under the feds archaic marijuana laws. Not being too familiar with Delta 8 THC we're still in the learning process ourselves so we looked for some detailed info and found it at daily dot .   The article is being reprinted in part here with a link provided to take you to the full article. Delta-8 THC is having a bit of a moment thanks to solving two problems for fans of cannabis. The first is legality. Since the federal government is still punting the ball on the legalization of cannabis with THC, patients have sought out other legal options. Secondly, Delta-8 THC isn’t as strong as traditional THC. So for those of you who love marijuana but have a tough time properly dosing it, well, consider Delta-8 to the rescue. Of course, that’s just the basics. Before you start ordering online, make sure you understand what you’re getting into. From where it’s legal, to how it works, and if it gets you high, there’s a lot to learn. H

The Right's Continuing Attack On Democracy In General and Specifically Cannabis Legalization

Image
Conservative republicans are now beginning a new front in its War On Democracy.  Their new attack front? Overturning the will of the people through activist conservative courts . IOW the damn authoritarian republicans are giving the stiff middle one to democracy and the will of the people when the will of the people does not fit the conserfative narrative and agenda. Which as we are seeing is always less freedom and individual liberty. It is what conservative republicans so. On to the article. Conservative lawmakers are asking the courts to block the will of the people on pro-legalization ballot initiatives Rolling Stone -   Ken Newburger felt like he’d been blindsided. He knew a legal challenge had been mounted against the medical  cannabis  ballot initiative he’d worked on last year in  Mississippi . He knew the state’s Supreme Court had taken up the case. But the argument against Initiative 65 was so nonsensical that Newburger had zero doubt the court would rule to uphold the meas

Combine Cannabis and Guided Sleep Meditation For A Blissful Sleep

Image
If you're one who suffers from anxiety and insomnia as I do you know it is both unhealthy and maddening. No question about it! My prior massage therapist Dion turned me on to Michael Seeley and his guided meditations for sleep. A mind, body, and spiritual approach to restful and fulling sleep experience, I've found the recordings to be helpful, however they fell short of consistently giving me the kind of deep restful and prolonged rest I so desperately desired and needed. This got me thinking. Could cannabis, combined with sleep meditation enhance and actually guide me into a deep and healthful 7-8 hours of uninterested blissful sleep? As I hoped for the combination of vaping a favorite Indica at 10:00 PM and then listening to the guided sleep meditation did the trick. I am now sleeping better, and awake more refreshed, than I have in 30 years! Give it a try! Enjoy the bliss!

More States Need To Follow Suit... So Does the Federal Government

Image
The governor of the Great State of Colorado is set to issue more pardons for individuals who were convicted  of mere possession under the archaic and evil marijuana laws of The United States of America. The governor obviously and clearly sees the gross hypocrisy and unjust situation and has the cajones to actually do something about it. With the state increasing legal possession up to 2 ounces it is ridiculous not do so.  We applaud Governor Polis for his decision. On to the article. Cannabis Business Executive - Colorado Gov. Jared Polis said Thursday that he will issue additional pardons to Coloradans convicted of low-level marijuana possession crimes now that he’s signed a bill into law allowing people to have up to 2 ounces of cannabis. House Bill 1090 , which Polis made a law on Thursday, doubles Colorado’s recreational marjuana possession limit to 2 ounces for adults 21 and older. It also gives people convicted of possessing up to 2 ounces of cannabis the chance  to more easil

Will Delta 8 THC Find Its Way to the Shelves Of Dispensaries In Other States

Image
Delta 8 THC has hit the shelves of stores in Ohio. It is another component of the hemp plant that produces psychoactive effects but its chemical components are not illegal under Ohio law. Therefore Delta 8 THC is presently not regulated and is available in convenience stores, gas stations, and online to name a few. Here's hoping the product becomes available everywhere in America and that the feds leave well enough alone for a change. On to the story. As the  cannabis  industry is flourishing, new products are on the market, stores in Ohio have the latest hemp-containing product. Bills to legalize marijuana and decriminalize it are getting approval from lawmakers and officials at the state level. Competition in the marijuana business is also likely to increase as more investors are attracted to weed activities. People who are already in the cannabis   business in Ohio or other areas are working hard to expand their companies or organizations by retaining their position in the mar

Mississippi Supreme Court Overturns the Will of the People

Image
We are a nation founded on the principal of self rule . In many ways and in many states that principal is honored and the will of the people is heard and it becomes law. But certainly not in all states and not in every case and every state. Such is the state in Mississippi. Story below. Cannabis Business Executive - Mississippi was supposed to join dozens of other states with medical marijuana programs. People looking to grow and dispense marijuana for medical purposes were making plans, some spending millions on land and buildings. Those eligible under the list of 22 debilitating conditions were counting on it come August. On Friday, the Mississippi Supreme Court flipped that reality upside down. Its  decision to overrule a voter-approved medical marijuana initiative  has sparked outrage from several organizations. Some have started petitions, one coalition called for a boycott of the city of Madison — its mayor filed the lawsuit that was before the court — and another is planning a r

My Kinda Town!

Taking photos in front of a sign welcoming visitors to Weed, Calif. Credit... Max Whittaker for The New York Times No Longer the ‘Devil’s Lettuce’: How the Town of Weed Embraced Weed . For decades, a rural California city winced at the puns. Now it’s cashing in WEED, Calif. — When they see the signs for Weed, carloads of curious travelers veer off the freeway to stop and gawk. They file into gift shops that sell “Weed Is So Dope” refrigerator magnets and sweatshirts advertising a fictional University of Weed: “A Place of Higher Learning.” For decades, the residents of Weed, a California lumber town an hour from the Oregon border, have felt like the butt of jokes, exasperated from the repetition of the Daily Explanation: No, the town is not named for marijuana but a local 19th-century timber baron, Abner Weed. For years, the town rejected proposals to leverage the name and allow the sale of marijuana. “I did not want a bunch of potheads sitting out in front of the store smoking doob
