The Biggest Roadblock To Decriminalization and Full Legalization - Conservative Republicans at the State and Federal Levels

 America's reason the the will of the voters are suppressed, ignored, and or rejected. Conservative Republicans and little if anything else is the reason. They simply hate democracy and the will of the people. Even when it is good for the people, the nation, and the overall health, serenity, and peace of the people.

It ain't gonna get better or change any time soon. Unless the people vote the conservative republican authoritarians out of office. Which as we know would be a spectacularly good thing!

Forbes - ... Recent polling suggests more than two-thirds of Americans want adult-use cannabis legalized. And though polling isn’t the most reliable indicator of voter behavior, legal cannabis’s undefeated record at the ballot box last November is a strong signal that with weed, citizens’ choices in the voting booth reflect the desires voiced to opinion-takers.

Elected officials and the courts are a different matter. In five states where voters have either passed or strongly support cannabis legalization, legal challenges and parliamentary maneuvering has overturned, blocked, or delayed implementation of popular marijuana reform measures: Mississippi, Idaho, Nebraska, Florida, and South Dakota.

And as Rolling Stone reported and as the Marijuana Policy Project’s Deputy Director Matthew Schweich wrote in Marijuana Moment, these states all have something in common: They’re all conservative states led by Republican governors or legislatures...
